Apple may launch two additional iPad models later this year

first_imgApple is likely to launch the iPhone 11 series consisting of the iPhone XI, the iPhone XIR and the iPhone XI Max at an event in September this year. And now word is that the company might be gearing to launch two more iPad models in addition to the five new iPad models that were reportedly coming this fall.Apple Insider earlier this month had reported that the Cupertino, California based company had listed five new iPad models with the model number: A2197, A2228, A2068, A2198, and A2230, at the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC), which is required to sell a device in countries such as Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan. Now the publication reports that the tech giant has added two new iPad model numbers to its regulatory filings at the EEC. This includes model numbers A2200 and A2232.The publication reports that the company has listed the two new model numbers into a single listing, which could indicate that they will be models with similar configuration. Reports indicate that the new listing is for a 10.2-inch iPad model, which will serve as an upgrade to the existing 9.7-inch iPad model.Apart from the new iPad models and the iPhones, Apple is also expected to launch a new 16-inch MacBook Pro model this fall. Reports of the tech giant first unveiling a 16-inch MacBook Pro surfaced back in June when IHS Markit analyst Jeff Lin told Forbes that the new MacBook Pro would feature an LCD screen from LG Display and that it would sport a resolution of 3072×1920 pixels. Reports last month also indicated that Apple would switch from its faulty butterfly keyboard to the more reliable scissor keyboard later this year. However, the report by MacRumour indicated that Apple would introduced the scissor keyboard only in the new MacBook Air model that is expected to launch later this year, introducing the upgraded design in all its MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models in 2020.advertisementBut now a new report by TF International Securities analyst Ming Chi Kuo indicates that Apple will upgrade its laptops from butterfly design to scissor design starting 2020 and this transition will begin from the 16-inch MacBook Pro model that is expected to launch in fall this year.ALSO READ: | Apple to launch 16-inch MacBook Pro in September this yearALSO READ: | 2019 MacBook Air to get new scissor switch keyboardALSO READ: | Apple to launch 16-inch MacBook Pro in September this yearlast_img read more
