The Fortress of Solitude Officially Opens Off-Broadway

first_img Show Closed This production ended its run on Nov. 16, 2014 Based on the best-selling novel by Jonathan Lethem, The Fortress of Solitude is a coming-of-age story about 1970s Brooklyn and beyond. It tells the tale of two teenagers obsessed with superheroes who believed that maybe, just maybe, they could fly. The Fortress of Solitude officially opens off-Broadway at the Public’s Newman Theater on October 22. Directed by Daniel Aukin, the new tuner, with a book by Itamar Moses and music and lyrics by Michael Friedman, will run through November 2.
