Even with Damus and Lingmerth’s success, top-ranked West Florida stands in second place in the NCAA Division I filled tournament.West Florida, who has won two consecutive team tournament titles, finished the first two rounds with a four-under 284, two strokes behind first place Southeastern Louisiana. West Florida is the only Division II school in the 12-team field that also includes Memphis, South Florida, Louisville and Mississippi State.Damus, who won the NSU Fall Classic title in October, shot a first round low 32 en route to the lead with a six-under 66 (32-34). Lingmerth, who won the individual title at last week’s Southeastern Collegiate, shot a second round 32 and finished with a five-under 67 (35-32).Matthew Galloway (Valrico, Fla./Durant HS) is in a tie for 39th place after a posting a three-over 75 (39-36). Matthew Berzovich (Longwood, Fla./Lake Brantley HS) shot a four-over 76 (39-37) to position himself in a tie for 45th place.
