Paulak Leads Women’s Golf On Final Day of JTP Invite

We missed a lot of short putts and it rocked our confidence. We know we can compete in these fields and have to get more consistent to do so. We can’t let a missed shot or putt ruin our scoring confidence,” said Drake head coach Rachael Pruett. “I saw bursts of really good golf game management this week and I am encouraged by what’s to come.” The Bulldogs posted a final round score of 323 for a total score of 951 (324-304-323) and were just two shots back from seventh-place Weber State (949=313-314-322). Toledo took home the team title with a score of 914 (313-298-303). Junior Grace Dunn and sophomore Sigurlaug Jonsdottir each recorded an 81 for a total score of 241 (86-74-81) and 242 (81-80-81), respectively. Sophomore Aimee Gerschke rounded out the team’s effort with a 247 (83-77-87). BOULDER CITY, Nev. – The Drake University women’s golf team settled to eighth-place out of nine teams at the JTP Invitational, Tuesday at the Boulder Creek Country Club. Freshman Sam Paulak led the team on the final day with a 79 and finished the 54-hole event with a score of 248 (80-89-79).Senior Madison Glennie finished tied for 18th-place, despite shooting an 82 in the final round for a total score of 235 (80-73-82).
